Director : M&A

Our Client is a start-up boutique consulting investment bank. It primarily focuses on mid-cap growth companies in chemical, biotechnology, healthcare, real estate and infrastructure sectors. The investment bank is promoted by a low profile family managed Indian enterprise, with businesses in pharmaceutical, financial services and real estate. It is one of the fastest growing companies in its businesses.
Position: Director : M&A
Location: Mumbai
Role
Ÿ Responsible for the oversight of the whole operations
Ÿ Set policies, procedures, rules and regulations while ensuring compliance.
Ÿ Formulate overall IB business strategy and plans and prepare budget forecasts for income and expenses for the team
Ÿ Originate new business
Ÿ Analyse and execute transactions and take a lead role in production of related analysis and documentation
Ÿ Manage and perform financing mandates in corporate finance, project finance and private placement and investment advisory services including pre-IPO financing
Ÿ Guide, manage and perform buy/sell side M&A, distressed M&A and restructuring
Ÿ Assist and advise the company's board of directors in matters regarding organisational and strategic planning and development
Ÿ Establish and maintain effective relationships with significant counterparts and external parties
Ÿ Lead motivate direct and develop staff to perform effectively and work to their best potential. Participate in the recruitment and selection process
Requirements
Ÿ University degree in finance, accounting or equivalent.
CA / MBA / CFA qualifications is a plus
Ÿ 7-9years in corporate finance function with at least 4 years managerial experience in a top tier investment bank or consulting company in India
Ÿ Extensive deal sheet
Ÿ Excellent business development skills, well-networked with the Medium scale enterprises.
Ÿ Strong client staff and relationship management skills
Ÿ Strong /proven management capability
Reporting to: Sr. Director : Investment Banking
Salary: Commensurate the best in the industry
