The job based in Mumbai is in the credit operations unit reporting to Senior Vice President, Mumbai. This unit is engaged in the support of all corporate credit teams an India and in the implementation of Basel II for corporates in India. The present product support includes overdrafts, loans, guarantees & commercial paper.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the jobholder is to ensure acceptance of security documentation executed in a legally valid manner by corporates pan India, whereby the bank¢s interests are fully protected.
The jobholder will also be responsible for supporting the corporate teams pan India. The speed with which documents are processed, guarantees are issued, without compromising on the risk to the bank is critical.
Significant interaction with the corporate teams as well as creative ideas for changes in procedures/methods with a view for quicker delivery to the customer but complete in terms of content and consistent with regulatory and internal guidelines.
The job involves a high level of understanding of the banks products, the business environment and the credit risk associated with documentation and procedures.
The jobholder will also be managing a team of young aspiring management staff in Mumbai.
Education and Relevant Experience
· The candidate must possess an MBA or a CA degree.
· Should have around 7-8 yrs experience.
· The candidate would need to possess working knowledge of Corporate Banking products. The candidate must show attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and be committed to producing work of the highest quality.
· The candidate must be resilient under pressure and work efficiently in order to meet aggressive deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams are essential attributes for this job.
· Corporate banking experience, whilst not mandatory, will be beneficial.
